\n\tTears have been happily flowing from RAYE<\/a> ever since she found out she scored her first three Grammy nominations on Friday morning (Nov. 8).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe English singer-songwriter earned nods for best new artist, songwriter of the year, non-classical and best engineered album, non-classical for her work on Lucky Daye<\/a>\u2018s album Algorithm. <\/em>This marks the first time RAYE has ever been nominated for a Grammy. She revealed her \u201cGrammy nominated tears\u201d in a raw video posted to her Instagram, soundtracked by her song \u201cOscar Winning Tears.,\u201d which was included on her 2023 debut album My 21st Century Blues. <\/em><\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGod knows all it took to get here. This is too much,\u201d she captioned the clip. \u201cI can\u2019t stop crying.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tFellow 2025 Grammy nominees congratulated the \u201cEscapism\u201d star, including D\u2019Mile<\/a> (\u201cDeserve!!!!!\u201d), who\u2019s up for producer of the year, non-classical for a third year in a row, and Kehlani<\/a> (\u201cgo the f\u2014 off\u201d), who\u2019s up for best R&B song with \u201cAfter Hours,\u201d best progressive R&B album with Crash <\/em>and best melodic rap performance with \u201cKehlani\u201d by Jordan Adetunji<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s not the first time RAYE has been up for a new artist or a songwriter of the year prize at an awards show: She won best new artist and songwriter of the year at the 2024 Brit Awards<\/a> in March, as well as artist of the year, album of the year for\u00a0My 21st Century Blues<\/em>, song of the year for \u201cEscapism\u201d (featuring 070 Shake<\/a>) and R&B act.<\/p>\n
