\n\tVeteran glam-metal outfit Poison<\/a> are set to take to the stage once again in the near future, drummer Rikki Rockett has confirmed.<\/p>\n \n\tThe group, who formed in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania in 1983, have been largely sporadic in their existence over the past 15 years, with their most recent run of shows<\/a> occurring in 2022 alongside Def Leppard<\/a> and M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tHowever, speaking to Eddie Trunk<\/a> on SiriusXM\u2019s Trunk Nation<\/em>, Rockett\u2014who has played with the group since their inception\u2014has said a 2026 comeback is in the works.<\/p>\n \n\tTrunk approached the topic when he told the drummer that frontman Bret Michaels had been in contact and urged him to ask about the band\u2019s future.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWhen I announced on socials about a week ago when I knew you were going to come on today,\u201d Trunk explained. \u201cBret sent me a text \u2013 Bret Michaels \u2013 a day or two ago, and he said, \u2018Hey, I hear you\u2019re gonna have Rockett on. Send him my love and tell him Poison 2026.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cYeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. \u201926 is for sure gonna happen,\u201d Rockett confirmed. \u201cI mean, unless some unforeseen thing happens, but all band members have stuck their hand in and said, \u2018Yeah, we\u2019re definitely doing it \u2013 without a doubt.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPoison released their first album, Look What the Cat Dragged In<\/em>, in 1986, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200 that same year. Their follow-up, 1988\u2019s Open Up and Say\u2026 Ahh!<\/em>, would chart one spot higher, with 1990\u2019s Flesh & Blood<\/em> repeating that feat.<\/p>\n \n\tDespite singles such as \u201cEvery Rose Has Its Thorn\u201d topping the Hot 100, and other hits like \u201cTalk Dirty to Me\u201d, \u201cNothin\u2019 But a Good Time\u201d, and \u201cUnskinny Bop\u201d all reaching the top ten, Poison didn\u2019t score another charting hit past 1993, with their final album\u2014a covers record titled Poison\u2019d!<\/em>\u2014arriving in 2007.<\/p>\n \n\tSince then, Michaels has embarked upon a solo career in addition to becoming a reality TV star thanks to the likes of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels<\/em> and The Celebrity Apprentice<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tEarlier this year, Michaels confirmed he would be taking \u201cmost, if not all, of 2025 off\u201d due to \u201cphysical adversity\u201d he explained to be \u201cdiabetes, a brain hemorrhage, skin cancer and [his] self-titled \u2018headbanger\u2019s neck\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tMichaels, who had previously experienced<\/a> a raft of health issues, told fans<\/a> earlier this year that he would be \u201ctaking most, if not all, of 2025 off\u201d due to some encounters with \u201cphysical adversity\u201d, which he clarified to be \u201cdiabetes, a brain hemorrhage, skin cancer and Bret\u2019s self-titled \u2018headbanger\u2019s neck\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
