\n\tBLACKPINK\u2019s<\/a> ROS\u00c9<\/a> is set to take on the fiery challenge of Hot Ones<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n \n\tFirst We Feast<\/a><\/em>, the channel behind the show, announced her appearance on Nov. 5, teasing, \u201cThis week on Hot Ones, we got Ros\u00e9 vs. The Wings of Death. \ud83d\udc80 Tune in Thursday @ 11AM ET.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\talso announced the news over Instagram: \u201cHi everyone. This is\u00a0Ros\u00e9<\/em>. Uh I\u2019ll be on\u00a0Hot Ones<\/em>\u00a0this week. Please tune in to see me kill it. Or maybe not. We\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn her Hot Ones<\/em> episode teaser clips that dropped Nov. 6, ROS\u00c9 didn\u2019t hold back on her love for spice<\/a> \u2014 though she wondered just how far she could go with the \u201cWings of Death.\u201d \u201cI like spicy food,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cBut I don\u2019t know if I like spicy <\/em>spicy.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAs the heat began to kick in, she joked, \u201cBy the way, my tongue is built differently. It\u2019s built different.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tAsked about the inspiration behind her new single \u201cAPT.\u201d featuring Bruno Mars, ROS\u00c9 explained it was rooted in a playful cultural moment. \u201cAPT\u201d is a tribute to a traditional Korean drinking game called \u201caparteu\u201d (or \u201capartment\u201d in English), and it\u2019s also the first single from her anticipated debut album, Rosie<\/em>, set for release on Dec. 6.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a Korean drinking game APT, one, two, three, four, five, six,\u201d she said. \u201cWhoever gets the top takes the shot.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShifting to her craft, she also discussed her vocal technique, explaining the difference between chest and head voice. \u201cI\u2019ve set the key too high,\u201d she laughed, adding, \u201cThat\u2019s the difference, I guess, right?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tROS\u00c9\u2019s latest hit is taking the music world by storm, smashing records left and right. The catchy tune has been dominating charts globally. In a massive debut, \u201cAPT.\u201d soared to the top spot on both Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, and held its crown for two straight weeks. <\/p>\n \n\tDown Under, ROS\u00c9\u2019s Aussie fans have shown their love in spades. \u201cAPT.\u201d rocketed to No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart<\/a>, making her the first solo female K-pop artist to conquer the Aussie charts. Not only that, but she\u2019s kept the top spot warm for multiple weeks \u2013 a feat not seen since PSY\u2019s \u201cGangnam Style\u201d back in 2012. She also set the record as the highest-ranking female K-pop artist on the U.K. Official Singles Chart at No. 2.<\/p>\n \n\tIn a recent PAPER Magazine<\/a><\/em> interview, she discussed how online criticism<\/a> inspired one of the album\u2019s most personal tracks, stating, \u201cI realised how vulnerable and addicted I was to this [online] world and that craving for feeling like I wanted to be loved and understood.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBorn in Auckland and raised in Melbourne, ROS\u00c9 moved to South Korea at 15 to pursue music, eventually joining BLACKPINK. The group\u2019s debut studio album The Album<\/em> skyrocketed to No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the highest ever for a K-pop girl group. Born Pink<\/em> dropped and made history as the first album by a female Korean act to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n \n\tROS\u00c9 has also seen previous success as a solo artist. Her 2021 single \u201cOn the Ground\u201d was the first song by a Korean solo artist to top both Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.
