\n\tR. Kelly<\/a>\u2019s daughter Buku Abi is claiming in a new documentary that her father sexually abused her as a child.<\/p>\n \n\tAbi, whom Kelly shares with his ex-wife Andrea \u201cDrea\u201d Kelly, made the accusation in the two-part series R. Kelly\u2018s Karma: A Daughter\u2019s Journey<\/em>, which premiered through the TVEI Streaming Network on Friday (Oct. 11).<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cHe was my everything. For a long time, I didn\u2019t even want to believe that it happened. I didn\u2019t know that even if he was a bad person that he would do something to me,\u201d Abi, whose legal name is Joann Kelly, says in the episode. \u201cI was too scared to tell anybody. I was too scared to tell my mom.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn the second episode, Abi, now 26, claims the abuse happened when she was 8 or 9 years old. \u201cI just remember waking up to him touching me,\u201d she tearfully recalls. \u201cAnd I didn\u2019t know what to do, so I just kind of laid there, and I pretended to be asleep.\u201d She added, \u201cfrom that moment on, I was a different person.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAbi says she initially reported the alleged abuse to her mother in 2009, and a complaint was filed under \u201cJane Doe,\u201d but the statute of limitations had run out. \u201cThey couldn\u2019t prosecute him because I waited too long. So at that point in my life, I felt like I said something for nothing,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
