\n\tLana Del Rey<\/a> is going country with her upcoming album Lasso<\/em><\/a>, and she\u2019s bringing her trusty collaborator Jack Antonoff along for the ride. <\/p>\n \n\tIn a new interview with Time<\/a><\/em>, confirmed he\u2019s saddling up for Lana\u2019s latest project. \u201cWe have\u2026 yeah,\u201d he said. \u201c[It\u2019s] a story for another time,\u201d he said, staying tight-lipped on further details about the LP. \u201cThe reason why I don\u2019t talk about things until they\u2019re out is very succinct: I like to let the music be the first entry point for people.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI don\u2019t want to rob anyone of their experience of hearing it without context,\u201d he added. \u201cThe second you start talking about work that is coming, you\u2019re planting these seeds in people\u2019s head.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAntonoff and Del Rey have been hitting the studio trail together since 2019\u2019s Norman Fucking Rockwell<\/em>, followed by Chemtrails Over the Country Club<\/em> in 2021, and last year\u2019s Did You Know That There\u2019s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd<\/em> \u2014 all of which lassoed top spots on the Billboard 200<\/a>, while Tunnel<\/em> reached No. 3. Now, it seems they\u2019re roping in country influences for Del Rey\u2019s newest project, which she first teased back in January during Grammys week<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIf you can\u2019t already tell, the music business is going country,\u201d Lana announced at the Billboard and NMPA Songwriter Awards<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re going country. That\u2019s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi over the last four years.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
