The Élysée Palace has slammed a what it called a « shameful lie » about President Macron’s apparent dream of buying the iconic Aston Martin DB9, most famous for its link to the James Bond film saga. The rumours swirled after a scathing article was released by French left wing investigative media « Blast, » that claimed Macron was « desperate » to buy the €200,000 sports car and social media users – and politicians – were quick to react online.
